Founded in 2010, NYAM has had the unique privilege and pleasure to collaborate with many of the world’s finest performing artists.
NYAM’s exceptional representation and partnership is due to its management by a remarkable group of diverse professionals devoted to promoting and developing instrumentalists, vocalists and other ensembles.

Each of our qualified instructors hold advanced degrees in piano performance from distinguished conservatories. All are highly experienced in the art of teaching and share their enthusiastic devotion to music with their students.

Jasna Popovic
The award-winning and internationally-acclaimed Serbian pianist Jasna Popovic resides in New York City.
Popovic has been recognized by her peers in classical music performance as a pioneer in advancing the creation of contemporary solo and chamber works, while being rooted in the traditions of the past. She has performed, promoted and organized concerts for composers and musicians in some of the world’s most prestigious venues, playing a significant role in introducing both classical and new compositions to the public and younger audiences.
Jasna Popovic attended the prestigious Hochschule für Musik in Munich, Germany. She has won numerous awards, including Fourth Place at the International Competition in Rome (2002) and Second Place at the National Piano Competition in Belgrade (1994). Popovic, who has performed at various festivals throughout the world, was particularly honored in 2005, with an invitation to perform at the International Keyboard Festival in New York.
In 2006, following her receipt of the Passantino Award for Extraordinary Achievements from The City University of New York, she had a series of successful performances in New York at Weill Recital Hall/Zankel/Stern Perlman Auditorium at Carnegie Hall, the United Nations, Steinway Hall; at Kennedy Center in Washington, DC; at Kolarac Hall in Belgrade; and at other major venues throughout Europe, Asia, and South America. As a pianist for Sing for Hope, Popovic performed at the Times Square Opening on May 16, 2013, the Metropolitan Opera on June 5, 2013, and at the Port Authority Bus Terminal on June 7, 2017 in front of thousands of people. She has played alongside numerous award-winning musicians including Rodin Scedrin, Anna Gourari, David Bryan and Roman Patkolo to name a few.
Politika (the oldest daily newspaper circulating in the Balkans) states: “Her playing is pure emotion!” and Munich Mercur writes, “Excellent! Her elegant and effortless playing is something you have to hear.”

Mi Kim
Born and raised in Korea, vocalist and composer Mi Kyung Kim has been immersed in diverse music scenes from a young age. She started studying classical piano at the age of six and after graduating with honors as Bachelor of Music in classical voice with a concentration in classical piano in Korea, she completed classical vocal courses at the Academia International, Delle Arti in Rome, Italy.

Soon after, Mi fell in love with American jazz, and moved to New York City where she was accepted to the prestigious jazz program at The New School in Manhattan. There, she studied with the legendary bassist and composer Reggie Workman, as well as with Jane Ira Bloom, Andy McKee, and many others.

Mi Kim graduated from The New School in 2014 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Performing Arts and Jazz Voice.

Upon graduating from The New School, Mi Kim enrolled at The City University of New York’s (CUNY) Aaron Copland School of Music where she studied composition with acclaimed composers Pete Calandra and Michael Mossman. She earned her Master’s Degree in Jazz Composition and Film Scoring in 2018.

Mi Kim has performed and recorded with Peter Slavov, Johnny Smith, Peter Rogine and Janet Lawson to name a few.
​
Her voice is featured on the albums: “The Pentatonic Forest” by Azande Cummings & Yuki Yamaguchi and “Little Stories” by Peter Slavov.
Mi has performed at the prestigious Frederick P. Rose Hall at Jazz at Lincoln Center as a member of the Vocal Jazz Ensemble, directed by Dr. Steve Zegree. The ensemble took part in the New York City Jazz Festival.

Mi Kim’s film scoring/sound design credits include the animated shorts “Akinetik” (2018), and “Our Flowers Are Neon Blue” (2019).
Mi Kim currently teaches Voice (classical/opera, jazz, pop, K-pop) and piano in New York City.

Masha
Maša is a singer-songwriter, pianist, composer and producer from Montenegro, Europe.
​
She started studying music at the age of five, representing her country at very prominent and large music festivals, such as “Slavyansk Bazar” in Belarus and Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2014. She attended High School/Music Conservatory in Podgorica, double majoring in classical piano and opera performance. While in high school, Maša performed and competed around the world, with great success.

During high school, Maša started discovering her sound in more contemporary genres, specifically jazz. As a result of participating in many workshops and receiving different scholarships, Maša decided on a scholarship for undergraduate studies at Berklee College of Music in Boston. At Berklee, she double majored in Songwriting and Vocal Performance. During this time, she worked with many incredible musicians, including Ledisi, Tigran Hamasyan, Tiger Okoshi, Kenny Werner, Peter Eldridge, Dennis Montgomery III and many more. At Berklee, Maša expanded her musical style, finding herself in multiple genres, such as jazz, RnB, gospel, Neo-Soul, Pop, world music etc. She was on the board of Berklee’s premium “PitchSlapped” acapella group and has been carrying out numerous solo performances with her band in different venues around the Boston area.

After graduating in December of 2023, she moved to New York City to continue her musical career there. In NYC, Maša is an active performer and musician but also teaches piano and voice lessons. After spending the summer touring in Italy with maestro trumpet player from Japan – Tiger Okoshi, she is now back in NYC.
​
Maša recently released her debut single “Love Without Fear” and is currently working on several projects. A duo song with jazz pianist Kenny Werner as well as an EP and an album of her original music that will be out next year, on which she is collaborating with her colleagues from the New York music scene.
